No confusion, We have one First Lady -Adeleke’s spokesperson

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has refuted a circulating flier purportedly from the Office of one of his wives, Mrs. Ngozi Adeleke, extending a welcome to Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, in the state. Adeleke denounced the flier allegedly from Ngozi as counterfeit and clarified that there is no dispute regarding which of his two wives would host the First Lady during her upcoming visit to Osun State.

Senator Tinubu is scheduled to visit Osun on Tuesday to inaugurate the Alternative High Girls School at Oke D.O, Ilesha Road, Osogbo. Shortly after a press statement by the Osun State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr. Kolapo Alimi, announcing Tinubu’s visit was released, two different flyers from Mr. Titilola and Ngozi Adeleke, both wives of the governor, surfaced online, welcoming the wife of the president to the state. Both flyers referred to the women as the First Lady of Osun State, sparking concerns about who would officially receive Tinubu among the governor's wives.

However, clarifying the situation, the spokesperson for the state governor, Olawale Rasheed, stated in a release obtained in Osogbo on Monday, that Titilola Adeleke is the designated First Lady and will receive Tinubu during the visit.

He also confirmed that the flier purportedly from Ngozi Adeleke's office was fabricated, and the individual responsible for its creation has been apprehended. Rasheed emphasized that Ngozi did not authorize the flyer, asserting that it was produced and disseminated by parties seeking to sow discord and confusion. The statement reiterated, "The First Lady of Osun State, Chief (Mrs.) Titilola Adeleke, is officially hosting the First Lady of the Republic tomorrow as directed by the Governor.

There is no ambiguity in this official stance." It concluded by affirming the state government's readiness to welcome the First Lady and her delegation to Osun State under Governor Ademola Adeleke's administration.
