A video surfaced online hours ago where the Nigerian ex -Deputy Senate President Ekweremmadu was beaten up in Germany by the IPOB family as he attended an Igbo function .The president of Ohaneze Nnia Nwodo had a press release and condemning the act.
“The assault on senator Ike Ekweremadu by Igbos in Germany, described as IPOB, is disappointing, grotesque and dangerous for Igbo solidarity. This violent, rude, impertinent, divisive and discourteous style of IPOB or IPOB instigated miscreants is damaging to our cause. It strengthens the case of those who describe them as terrorists and weaken our case against the infringement of our fundamental human rights.
Ekweremadu negotiated the sureties and securities for Nnamdi Kanu’s release on bail. He does not deserve this picketing and disgrace. A disgrace to him is a disgrace to Igbo race.
Whilst I condemn the attack on our revered son and leader, I call on the law enforcement agencies in Germany to bring to book the perpetrators of this despicable act. It is un-Igbo. It is disgraceful.

President General Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide”
In another development, Ohanaeze nd Igbo stood their ground and condemned crimes. According to their President ,
“Miscreants are exploiting the herdsmen situation to kidnap fellow Igbo”
.
.
The President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Nnia Nwodo, has said some Igbo are taking advantage of the attack of herdsmen to kidnap and murder innocent Igbo.
He made the claim on Saturday. According to him: “Assassinations, kidnapping and invasion of one or two holy places have been reported in the social and regular media,” he added.
He, however, praised the actions of security personnel in the region while calling on traditional rulers to complement the efforts to keep southern Nigeria secured by handing over killers and kidnappers in their communities to relevant authorities.
He said, “Worthy of note is the arrest of those responsible for the murder of two Catholic priests and the kidnap of a Traditional ruler. Useful confessions have been made. .
.
Ohaneze also notes that a few miscreants among us have exploited the Fulani rampage to engage in kidnapping and murder of innocent citizens. We urge our traditional rulers, town unions and local vigilantes to fish them out and hand them over to law enforcement agencies.”
